Eastleigh made it three wins in three against North Ferriby United on Saturday afternoon. Here is our match report:
The spitfires were very quick out of the blocks this afternoon and they were rewarded for their fast start with an early goal. Adam Dawson controlled the ball well before a great cross found the boot of Andy Drury, who found the back of the net with the aid of the far post.
The spitfires then had lots of chances to double their lead including a fantastic save from the North Ferriby keeper off a shot from Howells. The game however started to turn into The Villagers favour as Eastleigh started to let North Ferriby back into the game. Luckily for Eastleigh, they managed to see it out until half time.
HALF TIME-EFC 1-0 NFU
Eastleigh were then quick out of the blocks again second half, with a few opportunities for Mandron and Constable going begging. The spitfires finally doubled their lead in the 51st minute thanks to Reda Johnson. Jake Howells’s corner found Johnson, who powerfully headed the ball home.
The spitfires had a few chances after the goal, but none really of any note.
